Hospital Bag Checklist (hospitalbagchecklist.online) is a free planning tool. This page explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Without an account: your checklists, notes, quantities, budget entries and dates are stored in your browser on your device. They are not sent to us.
• If you sign in: your email address, name and profile image from Google (if you use Google sign-in), and session information needed to keep you signed in.
• If you choose to sync a checklist: the contents of that checklist (items, quantities, bags, people names you enter, notes, budget entries and dates) are stored on our servers so you can use them on other devices and with people you invite.
• If you publish a share link: a snapshot containing only the fields you selected.
• Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider processes to deliver and secure the site.

How we use it

To provide the tools, sign you in, sync and share checklists you choose, send sign-in links and invitations you request, keep the service secure, and answer support emails. We don’t show ads and we don’t sell personal information. Your email is not added to marketing lists.

Who we share it with

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores synced data and serves the site.
• Our email delivery provider, which sends sign-in links.
• Google, only if you choose Google sign-in.
• People you invite to a checklist, and anyone holding a share link you publish, can see that checklist or snapshot.
• Authorities when required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies needed to keep you signed in. We may use cookies or similar technology to analyze site usage. Local browser storage holds your checklists on your device.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while you use your account. Synced checklists are kept until you delete them from the cloud or delete your account. Revoked or expired share links stop working online.

Your choices

You can export or delete checklists on your device from My Checklist, delete a synced checklist from the cloud, remove collaborators, revoke share links, and delete your account from Settings → Security. Deleting cloud data cannot erase copies that someone already downloaded or saved on their own device. Health-related details you choose to enter (like a due date) are optional and never required to use the tools.

Children

The service is intended for adults preparing for a baby and is not directed to children.
